So you are planning a trip to Europe? There are certain cities that are “must sees.” They are the location of world famous sites and landmarks, and offer a special insight into Europe’s myriad of cultures.

First, London. The diversity of London is amazing. In fact, there are more languages spoken in London than in any other city in the world. This creates a vivid mélange of cultures. With its theaters, museums, galleries, famous buildings and other landmarks, including Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, London is a center of world culture. Do not miss Barcelona. The capital of the Catalan region of Spain; it sits on the Mediterranean coast. Its unique culture and its interesting history are evident in its architecture, galleries and museums. You will find everything from Roman ruins to beautiful churches. Do not forget the beaches. Sports fans can catch a game of football at the Camp Nou. Camp Nou is home to what is considered to be the very best football team on earth.

And who would pass Venice by? Venice is a group of islands linked together by canals and is set in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It is a rich center of history as, at one time, it was one of the most powerful cities in Europe. This power was based on its merchant shipping and naval power. Venice flaunts its rich history in its fabulous architecture. Much important art of the Renaissance came out of Venice and it can still be visited in Venice today. You can travel through Venice by foot but who would leave Venice without partaking of a gondola trip?

Paris is known for being the romance capital of the world but it offers much more besides romance. There are several internationally renowned buildings and monuments to found there, including Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. There is a general ambience around the whole place that can not be matched elsewhere, and the river Seine, which runs through the city, further adds to its character. Everywhere you turn you will find picturesque buildings, parks and quaint streets. Culture lovers will know all about th The Louvre, and there are many other galleries and museums too. The food is wonderful, and with a vast array of restaurants you will have no problems sampling it for yourself.
